It´s user-friendly interface PRIME Control allows researchers to efficiently manage users, projects, and load balancing, thereby improving overall efficiency.

The OCTAGON PRIME can be built from four different modules, each configurable to your needs. This flexibility ensures that the OCTAGON PRIME can be adapted to various research environments and requirements.  

 The four modules include: 

  • PRIME NODE: Networking module for connecting at least 21 devices.  
  • PRIME CENTER: Computing unit for analyzing large data sets in multi-user operation via remote desktop. 
  • PRIME DISK: Fast data storage with high data security.  
  • PRIME AI: Extension to the PRIME CENTER module for GPU-accelerated and AI-driven processing of large data sets.  

PRIME NODE is the networking module of OCTAGON PRIME, capable of connecting at least 21 devices. Equipped with a DHCP router system it allows you to create your own subnetwork for your scientific data streams, protected against unwanted access by a firewall. In the event of power drops or even power outages, an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) provides backup power to the entire OCTAGON PRIME system.  

PRIME CENTER is the computing module of OCTAGON PRIME where your scientific data are analyzed. In the standard configuration, this module holds a Windows Server 2025 Standard operating system, allowing multiple users to simultaneously process large data volumes in parallel via remote desktop.  

PRIME DISK modules are designed to ensure data safety while efficiently writing large data sets and providing fast access for smooth analysis. Multiple PRIME Disk modules can be linked together by plug-and-play technology, offering a scalable storage volume up to 2 PB range in industrial server-grade standards.  

PRIME AI is an extension of the PRIME CENTER module, offerring high CUDA GPU-processing power for demanding analysis, including AI applications. Each PRIME AI can accommodate up to 8 dual-slot or 16 single-slot GPUs. The PRIME AI module is the perfect addition to the OCTAGON PRIME, making it a powerful and highly efficient computing workhorse.  

All PRIME Modules together build a powerful and flexible local cloud. With a tailor-made configuration according to your needs, the Octagon PRIME will function as your private processing and data management platform to store and process large scientific data volumes with ease. 

PRIME NODE for networking 

  • Link at least 21 devices with true 10 Gibt/s to your OCTAGON PRIME. 
  • Choose between copper (RJ45) or glass (SFP+) connectivity. 
  • Uplink to PRIME CENTER with 2 x 25 Gbit/s. 
  • DHCP router with hardware-based firewall to create your own subnet for scientific data and keep your data safe from unwanted access. 
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for power backup in case of power drops or power outages.  

PRIME CENTER for processing 

  • Various Intel and AMD CPU configurations with up to 2 x 160 Cores / 640 Threads. 
  • 128 GB up to 2 TB ECC memory DDR5 and even more possible. 
  • High-performance CUDA GPUs with up to 96 GB vRAM.  
  • Local storage volume of at least 15 TB with 14 GB/s writing speed. 

PRIME DISK for storage 

  • 24 SAS HDDs combined to a RAID 6 volume to ensure data safety in the case of HDD failure. 
  • PRIME DISK modules are available in different sizes ranging from 176 TB to 528 TB, allowing storage volumes up to 2 PB range. 
  • Data access rate between PRIME Center and PRIME DISK with up to x GB/s to allow fluent processing of your large data sets.   

PRIME AI for CUDA GPU processing and AI 

  • The PRIME AI is a PCie 5.0 extension to the PRIME CENTER.
  • Each PRIME AI module can hold up to 8 dual-slot or 16 single-slot GPUs for CUDA processing, with each GPU having up to 96 GB vRAM.  
  • The PRIME AI is your perfect choice for demanding, GPU-based analysis and AI workflows. 


The PRIME Control is the tool to manage your scientific data environment. All necessary functions are combined in one software and offers the following management tasks:

User Management: 

  • Easily add and remove users. 
  • Add users with different read / write permissions. 
  • Monitor activity of your OCTAGON PRIME users. 
  • If required, limit users in time. 

Project Management: 

  • Add new projects to your local cloud. 
  • Assign users to projects. 
  • If required, limit projects in time. 

PRIME DISK monitoring: 

  • Have oversight on all disks and raid controls inside your local cloud. 
  • In the case of disk failure, easily identify which disk is affected. 

General Health monitoring: 

  • Find all relevant information about fans, temperatures, and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). 
  • If something is wrong, visual effects show you where the problem is.  

VM Management:  

  • Manage your virtual machines on the OCTAGON PRIME. 
  • Add/remove CPU cores, add/remove RAM to/from your VMs with ease. 

Backup Management: 

  • Easily set up your backup routine. 
  • Add a backup and check your backup regularly. 

Settings: 

  • Add general information about your Octagon PRIME local cloud. 
  • Set mail notifications via SMTP server for communication of OCTAGON PRIME with users. 
  • Change data volume directories. 

Updates: 

  • Gain oversight about all necessary updates of your PRIME Control software.

2. Creation of an Integration Concept:

  • Discussion and Adjustment: We discuss the concept with you and make necessary adjustments as needed.

3. Integration:

  • System Delivery and Setup: We deliver and set up the system on-site.

  • Backup and Archive Solutions: We integrate connections to existing on-site backup or archive solutions.
